Study to become a chef, pastry chef or a hotel manager in Switzerland. Experiences to last a lifetime, and the foundation for an international career

We welcome over 6000 students from more than 110 countries each year, making the study experience a multicultural, international one. International paid internships at the world’s most prominent establishments are offered in all programmes. Accommodation and meals are included during your time at our schools.

A big part of the experience of studying abroad in Switzerland is life outside of school. You’ll make lots of new friends from all corners of the world and have the opportunity to share experiences with people from different cultures – an international experience, pure and simple.

Many students describe the best part of their study time as when they went on that trip to a French vineyard, skiing in the mountains, a weekend trip to Milan, or the time they spent with all their new friends.

Sports and recreation

Ski resorts such as Verbier, St. Moritz and Zermat are popular weekend getaways for students and our “sports and recreation” office has the sole task of activating students after school.

Football, table tennis, tennis, golf, floorball, watersports and paraflying are just a few examples of what you can do in your free time. Of course, there is also access to a gym, either at the school or nearby, so that students can keep fit and keep up with their studies.

Switzerland – the country where you as a student become part of a 100-year tradition of world-leading hotel schools

Switzerland is located in Central Europe with Lichtenstein and Austria as neighbours to the east, Germany to the north, France to the west and Italy to the south. The country is divided into 26 cantons and has 8.5 million inhabitants.

Switzerland is one of the safest, and richest countries in the world in per capita terms. The standard of living is high, unemployment and inflation are low. Four languages are spoken: German, French, Italian and Romansh. And it is famous for banks, watches, chocolate, cheese – and world-leading chef, pastry chef and hotel education.

The perfect country for those who want to study abroad specialising in hospitality management, gain an international, global experience and experience a multinational culture while obtaining their bachelor’s or master’s degree. Switzerland has over 100 years of experience in world-class hotel schools. It began traditional hotel-management and restaurant-management training on the Caux campus, in the mountains above Montreux, in the late 1800s.

The Swiss tradition of hospitality has endured, and by introducing modern management theories from some of the top universities in the US and the UK, today our students are offered the opportunity to obtain a degree that combines Swiss hospitality tradition with American and English management expertise.

The traveller, aristocrat and connoisseur who went to Switzerland over a hundred years ago enjoyed the high standards and attentive service offered. Today’s traveller may have slightly different requirements and needs, but the principle of good service and good hotel management remains the same. Practical innovation, precision, discreet discipline, quality you can count on and professional leadership, these are the cornerstones of the hotel management training programmes of SEG – Swiss Education Group.

We offer those who wish to study abroad an exciting international environment, taught in English, at some of the world’s top chef, pastry chef and hotel management schools in Switzerland.
