The historic castle that is SHMS – Swiss Hotel Management School, Caux Campus, is located above Montreux and Lake Geneva, with an absolutely stunning view of the Alps!
Students gain the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to become a successful hotel manager by studying in the school’s state-of-the-art facilities and practicing in kitchens and restaurants, which have served celebrities and royalty for over a century. The school has large conference facilities where students organise events as well as a spa and access to a gym. There are also three restaurants where students can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Swiss Hotel Management School received this recognition for the first time in 2017. This is awarded to schools that exhibit Apple’s vision in this learning with technology and these are considered the most innovative worldwide. This prestigious recognition is valid for three years, during which time the school is regularly reviewed to ensure that it meets the high standards.
SHMS combines on-campus practical sessions with technology in the form of interactive presentations and much more. Since 2014, all students receive an iPad which they use during various theoretical and practical course elements.
In this way, the school has been able to deliver high quality training in the industry. It is important to be able to combine the practical skills required by the industry, along with knowledge of new technologies that are constantly evolving.
